10. My cover seems to stick during cover removal, what can I do?

1. I have a round spa, will the cover up spa lifter work for me?

Yes, our spa lifter has the patented VersaMount™. This versatile mounting system includes most spa applications up to 8 feet in dimension. Now Octagonal and Round spa applications are easily accommodated.

2. Is it easy to install a COVER•UP! with my drill/driver?

The cover lift comes with easy to follow instructions so we think so but if you anticipate some difficulty, we can provide an installation video tape that shows how the lift is installed and tells how to maximize your installation and some safety features.

3. How much distance does the COVER•UP! require to work properly?

We recommend 18" of distance between the cabinet on the side where the cover will be stored and the nearest obstruction for safety reasons and approximately 5" on the sides where the cover lift attaches.

4. What about a deck mount application where the deck is tile or concrete?

We recommend our pedestal brackets or mounting plates, both are made of strong aluminum and come with their own hardware. Both products allow our COVER•UP! to be installed directly onto them.
See our options page for more details.

5. Do I need gas shocks to make lifting my cover easier?

Gas shocks fail and we don't recommend using them because of safety issues. Our Foward Fulcrum™ lever assist increases travel over lift and causes the cover to sit lower and safer, yet requires little effort.

6. Why don't you offer black paint like the other cover lift companies?

We don't offer paint, only powder coating, and we think black gets too hot in the sunlight.

7. What if I don't want holes in my new spa cabinet or the cabinet isn't even made of wood?

We recommend our deck mount application.

8. Why are the screws used by other companies more difficult to strip than the shiny screws in your install kit?

Careful installation of our product by aligning the drill driver with the phillips screw head avoids stripping the stainless steel we use. Stainless steel screws last longer but contain the element nickel that make them less hard and are more prone to damage with careless drill/driver use.

9. Why is your tubing narrower than what I have seen other cover lift companies use?

Because cover manufacturers told us narrow tubing has less stress on the cover joint seam helping to increase the life of the cover. (COVER•UP! has the narrowest but thickest wall tubing available)

10. My cover seems to stick during cover removal, what can I do?

Spray a little silicon on the side of your spa where the cover drags. Wait 5 minutes then wipe off the excess spray. Your cover will slide off easier now.

Note: Be careful not to spray silicon into the spa.
