The State of California uses the estimated annual output of a couple of power plants to feed the needs of pool and spa owners. Because of that The California Energy Commission has recently approved new appliance efficiency regulations... And well, for the first time the regs include portable spas and a maximum allowable watt per hour usage metric. As spa OEM's grapple with the new requirements the key question for the existing spa owner is how to operate your already purchased hot tub more effectively?
